The AASHI Center includes a strong education and outreach plan designed to integrate undergraduate students in its research activities at the center, and create a pathway to graduate study. To support this goal, we have established an undergraduate research program aligned with the research objectives of the center, to provide undergraduate students with the research experience and hands-on training beyond the classroom. AASHI PIs identify and mentor capstone projects in the ECE and CSE departments that are aligned with the research objectives of the center. Undergraduate students will also have summer internship opportunities within the center, with opportunities to continue research during the academic year. Finally, we will organize seminars on project-related topics to students in the ECE and CSE departments.
